Dua Lipa is an English artist and musician born on August 22nd of 1995 in London United Kingdom. After being a model for a fashion magazine and songwriter, she was able to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and made eight singles which included Be the One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one single New Rules that peaked at the top of the charts, number sixth in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British breakthrough act in 2018. Her album was certified platinum worldwide. Dua Lipa was born in London on 22 August 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. You can also trace Lipa's relatives back through Peja within Kosovo. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. The siblings of Lipa are Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa was greatly influenced in her musical tastes through her father, the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock band Oda. Her father at home continued to play music including his original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. When she was nine years old, Lipa started singing in The Sylvia Young Theater School.
